To enhance your oat flour crust further, Add in some yogurt. Yogurt adds moisture and tanginess, creating a delightful distinction of flavors that makes each bite memorable. This probiotic dense ingredient also helps in binding the dough while filling it with added protein and creaminess.Baking powder plays a crucial role in achieving that desired airy fluffiness. By combining it into your dry ingredients, you are making sure that the crust rises beautifully during baking, resulting in a delightful chewiness similar to that of traditional pizza bases.

Here is the list of them:

  • Oats: Oats are the major ingredients in this recipe as these will be used for the making of oat flour. Just bend your whole oats into a fine flour using a blender or a food processor. Also, store bought oat flour can be used for this oats pizza recipe.
  • Baking Powder: This ingredient will make your pizza rise and make it more fluffy. Without this ingredient, your pizza will turn out to be as hard as a rock.
  • Salt: An optional ingredient, just for enhancing all the flavors.
  • Yogurt: Use dairy-free yogurt if you want to make this oat pizza a touch vegan. Just dont use sweetened yogurt! My recipe used Alpro plain soy yogurt which has a runny consistency. If your yogurt is thick, then use more than stated in this recipe.

Here are the step by step instructions on how to prepare this oat flour pizza with the stated ingredients. A great thing about this recipe is you don’t have to knead your dough, leave it for rest or wait for it to rise. Just incorporate your ingredients, roll it out and bake.

  • Add In Your Rolled Oats To a blender or food processor and blend it into a fine powder like flour and voila! Your oat flour is ready.( Skip this if you bought oat flour from the store).
  • In a Mixing bowl, add in your oat flour, baking powder and salt if needed, then mix evenly to distribute your ingredients and after all that, add in your yogurt.
  • With the help of a spatula or your hands, mix all the ingredients until they all come together to form a dough ball.
  • Cut a large sheet of parchment paper (roughly 60cm long), place your ball of dough on one half then fold the parchment paper over the dough and roll the dough into a round(ish) shape. The dough should be between 1/2 a centimeter and 1 centimeter thick.
  • Cut off the rough edges with a pizza wheel or knife and then, shape your pizza. Cut off any excess parchment paper around your pizza crust.
  • Add Toppings To Your Pizza.
  • Lift the crust on the parchment paper and place it onto a baking tray or pizza tray. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  • The prepared dough should not be too sticky or wet, if it turns out to be too wet, add in some more amount of oat flour and if it is too dry, add in some more amount of yogurt.
  • Use more yogurt than stated in this recipe if you select a thick yogurt. Start by using the amount told in this recipe but if the dough turns out dry, start adding more yogurt one tablespoon at a time.
  • Prevent making a dry pizza by covering your pizza crust with toppings. If you use tomato paste or garlic paste or oil, then spread it all over the crust.
  • Roll the dough out between parchment paper so that it doesn’t stick to the rolling pin.
  • Use a glass or wine bottle if you don’t have a rolling pin( drink the contents of the bottle with this delectable pizza).
  • If you prefer a thicker pizza, then don’t roll it out too much. I prefer the thickness to be around half a centimeter.
  • Protein: Chicken, Tofu, Tempeh, Tuna, Cheese.
  • Fats:  Cheese, Avo, Humus, Garlic Oil.
  • Veggies: Spinach, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Eggplant, SweetCorn.
  • Flavors: Herbs, Chilli, Tomato Puree, Garlic, BBQ Sauce And Some More Damn Cheese!
